Analysis of More Music Videos - Similar to 'Sally J Johnson'

Goldfrapp - Yellow Halo

Its a very entropic video, for the clips are completely random and don't match the lyrics. The clips look more like home videos and were taken while the artist was on tour. There's a old fashioned movie effect added to the clips that add to the theme and the camera tends to shake and move a lot as if its been taken on a personal movie camera. However the visuals match the genre, as Goldfrapp tends to use random and alternative themes in all her music videos. The pace of the music is quite relaxing and calm so it compliments the clips used, giving that peaceful element thats quite redundant of the genre. Its not a performance based video yet their are elements given in the chorus as she mimes it. Some videos from her concert are used in the video too which include her fans. Some also of her band and crew that were taken before the concert. This could mean this video was almost a documentary or tour-based as most of the clips are of the artist travelling, in different countries and cultures. It could be a compliment to her fans worldwide also, as there's montages of her visiting these countries, at different concerts with famous landmarks etc. Towards the end of the video, there's a voice clip of her thanking her fans at a concert so this video is almost a thank you symbol respecting her fans. The video ends with her waving goodbye in a forest, so its basically representing the end of the video. There's a frequent notion to looking throughout the video as the variety of clips used are of nature, concerts, the artist herself, food, the beach etc  and it demonstrates the artists intention of the video to mainly thank her fans for all they've done for her.
